Two Classes of Practical On Camera Experience with James Northcote:
Drawing on his experience on set and passion for the filmmaking process, this two part workshop will explore the art and craft of screen acting. Combining exercises on and off camera with examples of great performances. Students will leave with a greater understanding of how to find freedom and confidence on camera. This is a workshop about embracing the process of filmmaking whether in an audition or on set.

James Northcote is actor and producer best known for his role in The Last Kingdom. His first screen role was as Edgar Linton in Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights which premiered in competition at Venice Film Festival. Since then he has worked with Lars Von Trier in Nymphomaniac, Amma Asante on her films Belle and A United Kingdom and with Morten Tyldum in the Academy Award winning Imitation Game as Bletchley code breaker Jack Good. On television he has worked with ITV on Endeavour, The Suspicions of Mr Witcher and SSGB, Life in Squares and Silk for the BBC. James recently appeared alongside Helen Mirren in HBO’s Catherine The Great. He can next be seen in Jon Sanders "A Clever Woman” which recently premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Film “7 Kings Must Die” on Netflix.
