About the Event

Wanting to nail that audition song and become a double threat?

Are you a beginner or just starting out in Musical Theatre?

Working towards drama school auditions?

Or maybe you secretly sing ‘Omigod You Guys’ around the house but need to work on your confidence and technique so you can perform it in front of an audience?

If any of the above apply, this workshop is for you. Of course, singing is important when it comes to Musicals or any show with music… but did you know, it’s not everything? As importantly, you need to use the lyrics to tell the story and take the audience on a journey.

This workshop looks at those performing songs as actors first.

Does the idea of singing take you totally out of your comfort zone? No problem! Are you an accomplished performer wanting to learn new techniques and expand your repertoire? Fantastic!

Hot off the West End stage resident Acting Through Song coach Adam Gillian (Moulin Rouge! The Musical - West End, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical - UK Tour, Hadestown - National Theatre) on a two-hour workshop as he takes you through any song of your choice; looking at interpreting the music and lyrics, earning the ‘big’ notes and making sure you can apply your skills as an actor to any production you work on.

Only 10 Performer places are available to work on a song with Adam and get individual feedback, so make sure to book fast!

Spectator Places are perfect for those wanting to take away exercises to incorporate into your practice or for those not quite confident yet to sing in front of others.
