FREE WEEKEND ACTING INTENSIVE (AGES 18+)

October 3rd, 5-9 pm GMT​Join us for an intensive introduction to our beginners' course with coach Andrew Rothney. 

"It is my belief that with a strong foundation you will be confidently equipped in the face of an uncertain and challenging industry.

This session will introduce you to creating a character through merging textual analysis and your own imagination taking you step by step on how to do this and putting it into practice. I will prepare you for further in-depth learning as a beginner to stage and screen work, bringing my many years of experience of the industry to this class. My learning has been influenced by teachings from the likes of Stanislavski, Cicely Berry, Uta Hagen and David Mamet both in training and 'on the job' in order to gain a diverse and wider understanding of the skills required to have a successful acting career.

My Beginner classes work intensively on self-taping and industry knowledge, monologues, classical text, reading a play, working in your own time, preparing work, character development and much more. This taster class will touch on these elements to inspire your creativity as a new actor and I look forward to welcoming you on Saturday and starting you on your journey."

Andrew has worked extensively on stage in productions including Small Island (National Theatre) and The James Plays (National Theatre of Scotland). Some of his film and television credits The Victim, Catherine the Great, Outlander and Mary Queen of Scots. His upcoming projects are Lost Girls and Love Hotels (September 18th) and the hotly anticipated second season of The Spanish Princess (October 11th).
