Our youth classes are aimed at those aged 14 – 17 years old
Our sessions are designed to help you build your confidence whilst developing useful skills and tips to help you in your acting career.
Our classes are ideal for:

those wishing to audition for an acting college/school
those already established, looking to work on their practice
Our coaches are all working professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. They can offer help and advice, providing you with techniques and tips to enhance your acting skills.
Our classes are designed to create well rounded performers, providing detailed coaching on your chosen field. Our classes are split into pure acting and musical theatre.
What can I expect?Please visit the class pages below for a more detailed explanation on your chosen class. Our classes are currently broken down into acting and musical theatre. The acting classes are designed for those who would like to act on tv & film or in plays without song whereas the musical theatre classes are designed for those who like to sing, act and dance.
What do I need to bring with me?Our classes are all currently taking place online so you will need a strong internet connection to join. We use a platform called Zoom for our online classes, you may wish to bring a notebook to take down notes from your sessions. The coach taking your class will provide you with any scripts or performance pieces required. If you have any worries, please feel free to ask.
I have never done acting or musical theatre beforeOur classes are designed to suit those who are at the beginning of their acting or musical theatre career through to those who have lots of experience. We aim to create a safe, educational space within our classes and push for students to learn from one-another. You will build confidence throughout your classes.
Do you have classes for under 14 year olds?Unfortunately we don't have any classes for any students under 14 years of age. However, if this is something that would be of interest to you, please drop us an email. We do hope to expand our classes in the future.
Teen I Acting Class
Adam Gillian, Mark Rowley, Molly Dobbs and guests.
This class will be led by industry professional actors with the main aim of giving you the best advice and knowledge for your potential career. The class will run for two hours and we will be looking at all aspects of acting. We will mainly be concentrating on Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Script Analysis, Improv and Shakespeare as well as Acting for Screen as we are using Zoom to communicate - a fantastic way to learn as we are already on a screen!
Teens II Acting Class
Teens I Level
Adam Gillian, Molly Dobbs and guests.
This class is a direct progression from Teens I; applying the techniques and skills learned in Teens I to develop further while learning new skills simultaneously. As such, Teens II can only be taken by those who have taken Teens I.
Classes will look at Script Analysis, Monologue Performance, Further Improv Skills, Screen Skills and much more!
Teens Acting: Scene Study
Teens II or relevant exp.
Friday 2nd July
A 5-week rehearsal process lead by Adam Gillian working towards a performed play-reading in the final week.
Actors who wish to audit/understudy should make this known in their application.
In rehearsals, the coach will act as a director, working with the cast to analyse the text, prepare characters and make informed choices. This class provides an insight into the demands of a professional rehearsal room whilst also giving an opportunity to further their techniques as actors and their understand of text.
N.B.There is no pre-requisite classes to have been taken with The AC however, any similar Teens Acting classes or external relevant classes or experience will help with the techniques covered in the rehearsal process.
Participation in this course will require some preparation time outside of class. Please take this into consideration when applying.
All of our coaches are DBS checked. They have previous experience teaching children/teens. If you have any concerns prior to a class, please drop us an email.
