I am a highly trained and reputable professional voice, accent, and acting coach based in London and available world wide due to the power of ZOOM and Skype. I have worked with high-profile clients in many projects, from accents to vocal support.
Originally, trained as an actor at the prestigious Atlantic Acting School in New York City with David Mamet, I have had an extensive career working in theatre and film, working with directors such as Anne Bogart and William H Macy and have gone on to become a Master's graduate of Royal Central School of Speech and Drama; Voice Studies, where I mastered my craft in voice and accent work.
I am a master Chuck Jones voice work teacher and will gain my Fitzmaurice voice work accreditation in 2022. Although my method of teaching accents is my own, my work is based on the Sharpe/Howles system taking large influence from Knight Thompson Speech Work. As a voice and speech coach, I take from yogic practices, Suzuki, Alba Emoting, Patsy Rodenburg, Nadine George, Roy Hart, Kristin Linklater, and many others.
I have taught at prestigious drama schools such as NYU and Ivy League schools such as Sarah Lawrence NY as well as UK drama schools such as RADA, LIPA, and Associated Studios. I also coach theatre and private clients and prepare actors for performance and auditions and even work with those looking to simply broaden their repertoire. I also work with clients who have English as a second language, who are looking to build their confidence in communication and soften their accents.
My British background and training ensure my love for and skill with language, understanding classical text and having a great ear for British and European accents. My American training and performance history marry all of this craft and skill with an embodied, impulsive and kinetic connection to language which is exciting and honest as well as a great ear for dialects of the US.
Through my sessions, you will become self-sufficient, with a strong foundation in craft and technique. You will be given the steps to break down an accent allowing you to become a master of any accent you wish to tackle. All of this will engender curiosity, freedom, and a playfulness with your voice and accent, your art, and the potentiality there within.'
